Under Desk Mounting Option Available.
This option is a $23 add on, it allows you to magnetically attach the trim wheel controller to the underside of your table top. The mounting plate attaches either with 3M VHB double sided tape (included) or by using screws (not included) to the underside of your table top. The controller will then magnetically attach to the mounting plate, allowing you to install or remove the controller in seconds. The desktop clamp is also included with this option.
I needed a trim wheel for my PPL training, and those are very hard to find online. The trim wheel really does give a boost to my light plane simming. The ability to trim quickly and accurately is essential irl and this device emulates that beautifully. Ordering was easy and the sturdily packed parcel arrived well within the estimated time. I run X-plane 11&12 and setup was straightforward on Windows but as usual a little more complicated on Linux. I love the trim wheel. Especially how easy it was to set up, the attachment methods provided and the feel of the wheel itself in your hand is very realistic. The friction is just like the real Cessna wheel.
I have been looking for a real-a-like trim for a LONG time. As a pilot IRL I can say that the trims in current sim system are complete shit and are very different in feeling and behavior from the real ones. The trim is an ESSENTIAL control that is being used ALL THE TIME and therefore it’s super important.
This system is great! Affordable, well-built and accurate. While 3D-printed and not made of “high-end” plastic like the ones of the “big” gaming hardware companies – it is very solid, and WAY more than simply ”good quality” built.
This product is awesome and I’m happy to have bought it. Moreover, it’s great to support the endeavor of a “one-man company” when the product is good.
Biggest issue I have with any sim is lack of realistic yoke & trim controls, both feel and sensitivity. The Flight Sim trim wheel simply eliminated the issue as to trim. Great piece of kit, quick calibration in X Plane and the 182 in the sim flys a lot like my real plane, the overly sensitive trim is just gone.
