Great trim wheel and even better support. The wheel has a nice, firm resistance that feels realistic, and it was recognized immediately in both MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12 as a smooth analog axis. Shawn went above and beyond: when I wanted to build a custom desk mount, he helped me with the STL for his mounting plate so I could design around it. It fit perfectly into my setup. Highly recommend to buy from FlightSimStuff!

I will keep it short. The trim wheel has a defect. This defect absolutely does not interfere with the fact that this is the most comfortable, sturdy, and precision trim wheel I have owned, and being new to flight sim, that is a lot. I am very picky about my gear.

Oh yeah, the error. It makes my trim wheel a collector's item. It will be in very used state, because it fits perfectly on my desk and keeps me from crashing quite well!.

I love my Flight Sim Stuff controllers. I have the throttle controller and the trim wheel. The setup was easy and they have worked reliably for years now. Ordered on 29th May, received earlier than scheduled via DHL on 5th June - from Michigan to Perth (in Western Australia). Very pleased with that. Yes, courier wasn't exactly cheap, but I was very grateful for an international shipping method that didn't hand over to our local "services" once the item arrived onshore (Australia Post takes a glacial age to deliver anything).

What I was more pleased about was the product itself. For years I have been tweaking various HOTAS mini axes to fill in as elevator trim. That was a mistake. Elevator trim is a crucial control and I should not have neglected it all these years. The Flight Sim Stuff trim wheel has finally taken away the "dance of the trim chase" I always experienced from oversensitive short-track axes. Now, hand-flying GA aircraft is far more relaxing and I no longer jump to thinking "Enough, I'll just turn on the autopilot". I should have bought a trim wheel years ago.

I'm very happy with this purchase, and I'll be honest I did not expect this quality from a 3D printed product designed by, not a mass production game peripheral company, but rather a one-man band (Shawn).

Trying to trim the plane using the buttons on the joystick was an exercise in frustration. I could never get the trim setting properly. This wheel makes it very easy. The trim setting can be adjusted very granularly and precisely.
I had an issue with binding the control in MSFS 2020. I contacted Shawn who responded promptly and offered suggestions and I was able to get the trim wheel recognized in MSFS2020. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has been frustrated (as I was) in trying to trim the elevator using buttons on the Joystick.

Every now and then I buy something that turns out to be better than what I was expecting, this controller falls into that category. It's good quality, easy to hook up, and works as it should, (better than anything I've used so far). It is Good Stuff - I recommend this unit and will buy from this company again

It's HUGE, not the small kid toy one would expect. It works plug and play without issue and feels solid.
It comes with a desk mount, or adhesive strips. Function? It feels and looks just like the one in my Cessna 170
and I suppose the only issue I'd have would be a tension adjustment for those with old hands. It's a beast, but you
feel like it is the REAL deal. It also comes with the rudder adjustment which is the main reason I got this over
any other. If you want things to be real, this is AS close as it gets! Buy it!

I bought this to go with my sim setup I use for supplementing my ppl training. I use it along side a motion platform and vr so the added realism is appreciated. It works great though does feel kind of “cheap” in manufacturing. I’ve only used it for about 2 weeks so far and it has held up but am slightly concerned with prolonged use. I do like the multiple mounting options but the 3m tape provided only lasted one flight before it would not hold on any more (remember it is mounted on a motion platform) so I had to devise a new method of mounting it in the proper location. Overall I am sastified with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

I had previously binded trim controls to a rocker switch. The trim sometimes responded. Sometimes not! This full sized trim wheel made all the difference in my flying. Quality is solid. Price is right!

Shawn is an extremely helpful person, responding to my questions very quickly. I purchased the Full Size Trim Wheel as I am learning in a Cessna 152. The Product is great, allowing me to practice real world procedures with the wheel, which is very accurate. I can now trim with confidence and precision. The wheel is well made, sturdy, with a great feel to it. The unit clamps very solidly to the underside of my table, so it is positioned close to where it is in the real plane. I would definitely purchase from Shawn again. He is so friendly and helpful. Excellent instructions online regarding how to set up all the controls.

I needed a trim wheel for my PPL training, and those are very hard to find online. I reached out to Shawn with various questions around the mounting and clamp size, and he was quick to respond and very kind. The quality of the wheel, even though 3d printed, is very good and feels like a quality off-the-shelf product. Shipping was very fast and the product arrived meticulously packaged. The trim wheel really does give a boost to my light plane simming. The ability to trim quickly and accurately is essential irl and this device emulates that beautifully. Ordering was easy and the sturdily packed parcel arrived well within the estimated time. I run X-plane 11&12 and setup was straightforward on Windows but as usual a little more complicated on Linux. I love the trim wheel.  Especially how easy it was to set up, the attachment methods provided and the feel of the wheel itself in your hand is very realistic. The friction is just like the real Cessna wheel.  

I have been looking for a real-a-like trim for a LONG time. As a pilot IRL I can say that the trims in current sim system are complete shit and are very different in feeling and behavior from the real ones. The trim is an ESSENTIAL control that is being used ALL THE TIME and therefore it’s super important.
This system is great! Affordable, well-built and accurate. While 3D-printed and not made of “high-end” plastic like the ones of the “big” gaming hardware companies – it is very solid, and WAY more than simply ”good quality” built.
This product is awesome and I’m happy to have bought it. Moreover, it’s great to support the endeavor of a “one-man company” when the product is good.

Biggest issue I have with any sim is lack of realistic yoke & trim controls, both feel and sensitivity. The Flight Sim trim wheel simply eliminated the issue as to trim. Great piece of kit, quick calibration in X Plane and the 182 in the sim flys a lot like my real plane, the overly sensitive trim is just gone.

This trim wheel is plug-and-play and works exactly like it should with minimal setup. Makes trimming for straight-and-level flight a breeze and eliminates the over-sensitivity and under-sensitivity issues that some simulators have with an electric trim switch. The only issue I had was that the 3D-printed bracket holding the potentiometer onto the control wheel gear broke off with very little pressure. I made sure the potentiometer was centered and super-glued it back into place, and I haven't had any issues with it since.

The build quality and functionality of this trim wheel is great on MSFS 2020. It feels a lot like the trim wheel in my Cardinal. Very accurate. Setup was simple too. Fast shipping and very grateful to Shawn for answering my pre-purchase questions.
